I dreaded going to the dentist before switching to Montrose DDS! I have never had a provider take so much time and care with my comfort and my understanding of the procedures and treatments being performed. Even though Montrose DDS is out of network for my insurance, they go above and beyond to handle all the billing and claim filing, and always provide me a quote for treatment BEFORE performing it so I know what kind of expense to expect. They are conscientious about the coding they use to make sure I’m not being billed any more than is absolutely necessary, and it’s really the first time I’ve trusted any sort of healthcare provider’s billing practices. The office is lovely and comfortable, the tech is up to date, the staff are friendly and fun, and I love love LOVE supporting an LGBTQ+ business. I can’t recommend Dr. Carrell, Dr. Faulk, and their wonderful team highly enough!!

Dr. Carrell, Dr. Faulk, and their staff deliver excellent care and put their patients’ priorities first. The beautiful new building (with lots of secure parking) is indicative of a young, fresh approach to dentistry. Drs. Carrell and Faulk are a late-20, early 30-something dynamic duo that are ready for the big leagues. By that, I mean that their mission is “whole health” of the patient, not just fixing a tooth. I had a simple filling, but they noticed my airway suggested some sleep apnea. They spent extra free time with me recommending follow up, and explained that when they were closed for Covid they actually used the time to study dentistry “beyond just the tooth”. So since tooth health is often the window into overall health, you will get that service here. And Dr C’s mom, Carol, is at the front desk so you KNOW she will do her job perfectly. Great follow through by Mama Carol Carrell on all the administrative details. With these 2 doctors, 1+1=5. It’s boutique service with leading edge science.

I have been coming to this dental group for years, and I can't say enough good stuff about it.
Bruce Smith started this practice in Montrose a while back, and it seems Drs. Carrell and Faulk have taken over much of the day-to-day stuff. They have also left the charming old house in Montrose and moved closer to downtown. The new office is bright and modern, but it still maintains a friendly feel.
I had to have a few big things done in my early days with Montrose DDS (I only got dental insurance about 4 years ago), and everything they did (filling, deep cleaning, crown replacement) was professional, gentle, and as quick as possible. Now that my mouth is in a much better place, it's all about the maintenance, and I see their dental hygienist Hifa a couple times a year. No exaggeration in saying she is THE BEST dental hygienist I have ever experienced. Sweet, funny, gentle and good at getting your teeth sparkling clean.
I'm also impressed at how up to date the office is with the latest tools and technologies. It seems every time I go their using a new tool or technique. I appreciate professionals who take the time and effort to stay on top of their practice. Highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, so I recommend them to you too, Yelp.

I was in Houston from across the country and had a dental emergency on a Friday afternoon. Jon talked me through options, found a time I could get in, and kept my anxiety low. Then, Phyllis met me with a warm smile and empathy, took x-rays, and welcomed my friend to join us in the exam room because it made me more comfortable. Dr. Faulk was fantastic! When my teeth screamed in pain, he responded quickly and found another way to address my needs. Before we started the selected treatment, he took lots of time to listen to what I wanted and gave me a range of options. While I was numb and he and Phyllis were working, I told my friend that my next filling would be expensive because I will add a flight to Houston to get the work done by this team! They wanted to do it right more than do it quickly, and I'll be grateful for decades for their efforts.
